Cure for a Burn

I've had a little bottle of melaleuca oil for a while now and didn't pay much attention to it. It turns out that that little bottle is like gold. I knew it was good for a first-aid ointment for various things but I just didn't think about it. I started using it regularly in August to get rid of a strange burn/rash I acquired in Jamaica in July. Melaleuca was the cure. All the strange spots are gone, leaving one small bit left. I'm amazed.
However, tonight, I had an unfortunate turn of events while moving my quinoa from the stove to a bowl. The bits of quinoa stuck together at first, then all of a sudden went everywhere. It's not pleasant to have just-boiled quinoa fall right into your palm and burn you. Of course it was nothing major, but with any kitchen-related burn, I wanted immediate relief. Cold water wasn't working for me.
I desperately searched through my medicine bin and found the little bottle. I rubbed it on and wrapped a wet cloth around my hand. Five minutes later, I wasn't feeling a bit of burning. The oil was so soothing paired with the water. It had a cooling effect that allowed me to go on with the rest of my night.
Just a little tip from me to you. Melaleuca oil+cold water+towel=blissful relief.
I'm sure there are many out there who know all about the benefits of melaleuca oil (and tea tree). I don't pretend to, but I do know that it's now my go-to cure for just about anything. I couldn't help but share!
