New Read You Probably Need

I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend! I had a wonderful, relaxing time at home with my family. Coming off of my post on Friday about Easter, I encourage you to find a hammock, a glass of lemonade and sit down with Pete Wilson's latest book, Empty Promises.
I've already said I attend Cross Point Community Church and have since I moved to Nashville in 2008. On top of being a very real, down-to-earth pastor that speaks so much truth, Pete is also a great writer. His first book, Plan B, was exactly what I needed to hear in a difficult time when I thought life wasn't going as I had planned. I highly recommend that book and am very excited about this new one, especially after reading this description:

We all long for more of something in our lives. In our endless pursuit to feel worth and acceptance we find ourselves sacrificing everything for the promise to be a little more beautiful, a little richer, a little more powerful and successful, a little more loved.
How do we break free from these empty pursuits and start chasing the only Promise that will ever satisfy? How do we uncover the hidden idols that are driving us and turn our devotion toward the one true God?
Join Pastor and best-selling author Pete Wilson in discovering the joy and freedom that comes with seeking after God with your whole life. Learn how to replace, and not just relinquish, life's empty promises by turning your focus and worship toward Him. It is the only thing that will set you absolutely free from the endless pursuit of everything else.

If have learned that if you don't need nuggets of information like I know this book will have in it right now, you will in the future. It's nice to have something like this in your mind's back pocket.
The book goes on sale tomorrow, so get ready!
