Red & Turquoise for Christmas

Source: via Laurie on Pinterest

I'm continuing the feature on each Christmas card design I have! Today's is a simple "Merry Christmas" card in my Etsy shop. I love the combination of pale blue or turquoise with bright red. It's fresh, it feels wintry and cool, and a little bit on the vintage side. The card has red and white ornaments on a pale turquoise blue background. The inside has the same little star pattern in a simplistic row and says "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
If you want to stray from the traditional red and green this year and choose this fresh color scheme, here are some decor ideas for you:

If you already have pretty ornaments in these colors, group them all on a hook (a sturdy one) and hang this way on the tree.

Hang your stockings with care with this one! Coordinating patterns are so cute.

You can do so much with a roll of white wrapping paper. Add ribbon and little embellishments like candy canes or little ornaments (Target is a great place for cute little ones sold in sets).

Icy blue-green on a suspended branch is a great alternative to a chandelier or fancy lighting.

Deck out your tree in all red and blue with little wisps of white here and there. This would be especially snowy with a flocked tree!

Adding a small pop of this blue would be simple to do if you already have some red table decorations. Add the blue in with a napkin, a little ornament at the place settings or one of these homemade party poppers
