Tailgating Time!

Turf as a tablecloth? Appropriate for football or just messy boys.

Let me just preface this post with saying I am not a die-hard football fan, I don't like hearing it blaring on the TV, nor do I care who wins. I will gladly support Tennessee football because I live here and now Louisiana football for the boyfriend...however...if I'm being honest, I could care less. I DO like all that football entails though, tasty finger foods, grilling, excitement, interesting color choices for the teams (PS-Maryland's jersey designer, were you high when you designed those? Atrocious). I just don't really understand the game. I've had boyfriends that played football, boyfriends that watch football, as well as the men in my family. No one has successfully explained to me the entire game, so I've given up trying to learn. They will begin to tell me, then something that I don't understand will happen, and the minds of the men are lost forever. There's no bringing them back until it's over. I understand touchdowns and also interceptions mainly because when I was little, a cat got in our house and we couldn't catch it until it ran right into my dad, he grabbed it and held it in the air like a football and yelled "Intercepted!" I learn better with visuals I suppose.
Anyway, I digress, let's get to the best part of football. Tailgating. It's fun and it's fun to make it cute, especially if you're practically camped out there. Here we go:

This tiny grill is adorable. It's the perfect transportable size.

Another grill, but this one also has a cooler and places to hold grilling utensils and of course can sport your team's logo.

Buckets like this can hold lots of different things all the time, blankets, ice with drinks, small children. PS-I do like Carolina blue, it's a lovely color.

You can buy this custom basket from Etsy or just customize your own with some acrylic paint and ribbon.

I. Love. Stripey. Straws. They come in so many colors so it would be hard to not find your team's color.

Pennants are perfect for tailgating but you don't have to spend a lot of money on them. Make your own with paper, or duct tape like these. With all the crazy colors of duct tape now, these will hold up for the entire season.

This is a genius idea. Cups, wine glasses, bottles all fit in the center of these plates and it has little dividers so your food won't touch if you hate that sort of thing happening. Plus, they are reusable!
